In my effort to wring every last bit of enjoyment and pleasure out of the snow from the storm last Wednesday, I finally got out to Four Peaks to see if there was any snow left on it. The answer was “not much.” I can always hope for another storm or two before the season ends.
In the photo, you can see the poor air quality which makes the mountain in the distance seem more vague and hazy than it should be. That is due to the temperature inversion in the Phoenix area that happens when the days are warm and the nights are cold. Pollution becomes trapped and builds up during the day. “Lovely,” and oh so healthy to breathe (not).
