Hole in the ice
I love winter, and I love winter photos. I even love photos that only look like winter. If it looks cold and white, it is a feast for my eyes. The location of this photograph is Nelson Reservoir near Springerville, Arizona. I stood at the end of the reservoir in the cold, whipping wind and shot this photo of the ice and snow.
We haven’t had much precipitation this winter in Arizona, not even in the “high country” where this was shot. I am hoping we are inundated with rain and snow for the next two months, although I don’t have much hope for that as we are in a drought cycle. We are in for a dry spring, and with it, the threat of wildfires.
